Senior and Junior Fellowships 2021 selected

The External Advisory Board of the Bayreuth Humboldt Centre has selected two Senior and four Junior Fellows who were recently appointed by the University's Governing Board.
The researchers selected hail from South Africa, Poland, Morocco, Finland, Italy and Argentina. Together with their Bayreuth colleagues they will work on joint research projects and contribute to the sustainable internationalization of research at UBT.
The awardees:
Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Kozłowski, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland with his host Prof. Dr. Anno Mungen will investigate the role of media for propaganda purposes during the NS regime and therein focus on the Bayreuth Festival. (Senior Fellowship, Theatre Studies).
Prof. Dr. Stephanus Muller from Stellenbosch University, South Africa and his host, Dr. Lena van der Hoven, will ask the question of "How is South African art music (not) African art music?" (Senior Fellowship, Musicology).
Dr. Justin Begley, PostDoc at the University of Helsinki, Finland will collaborate with Prof. Dr. Florian Klaeger on the interaction of "Poetry and Scholarship in the Res publica Botanica, 1660-1740" (Junior Fellowship, English Literature and History of Science).
Dr. Abdelmjid Kettioui from the L´École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers, Moulay Ismail University in Meknes, Morocco will visit Prof. Dr. Paula Schrode to work on "Moroccan Activist Atheism in the Diaspora: The Neoliberal Politics of a Subcultural ´Non-Movement´" (Junior Fellowship, Islamic Religion).
Dr. Violeta Radovich, Post-Doc (CONICET) at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina will work with her hosts Prof. Dr. Eva Julia Lohse and Prof. Dr. Christian Laforsch. Their interdisciplinary research project focuses on "International ocean governance beyond national jurisdiction – Towards an environmental integrative approach based on participation of indigenous peoples and local communities (IPLCs)" (Junior Fellowship, Environmental and Maritime Law).
Dr.-Ing. Gianvito Vilé, Junior Research Group Leader at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy and Prof. Dr. Andreas Jess will decipher "Microkinetic relationships in single-site catalysts for sustainable chemical processes" (Junior Fellowship, Chemical Engineering).
